Bio

 

Howard currently serves as President & CEO of HNC Enterprises, Incorporated, a multi-national hospitality, media & entertainment organization headquartered in Washington, DC.

Howard grew up in Bensalem, Bucks County, PA and received his technical medical degree from the U.S. Army's Medical Department Center and School in San Antonio, TX in 1996, and a post-secondary degree in marketing & HR management from Stayer University in 2006.  From 1997-2001, during his active-duty military service, Howard served as a medical specialist specializing in internal medicine & primary care supervising field and clinical medical facilities at Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC), 2nd Infantry Division’s Troop Medical Center in Camp Casey, Korea & the 201 General Hospital in Seoul, Korea. In 1998 Howard received the United States Army Achievement Medal from WRAMC command staff for founding & directing the hospital’s Patient Education Center & developing exceptionally conducted programs.

 

After an honorable discharge from the army in 2001, Howard made his residence in Washington, DC, completing stints as internal medicine/primary care department manager at INOVA Fairfax & George Washington Hospitals. 

 

He quickly became a staple on DC’s charity/philanthropy and elite nightlife circuit where he started his VIP Hosting, event production and fundraising career with the MAC Aids Fund/MAC Viva Glam cosmetics. Since 2001, Howard has been raising funds and producing large scale charity galas, sporting & nightlife/entertainment events both locally and nationally for organizations like the Autism Society of America, Stand Up 2 Cancer, ADAP Advocacy Association, America’s Polo Cup, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, John Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center and the American Cancer Society, just to name a few.

In 2003, Howard joined the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development as a human resource professional.  During his time in HUD’s Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary (DAS) for Human Resource Management (HRM), Howard served as Special Assistant to the DAS for HRM, HR Office Manager - Staffing & Classification Division, HR Office Manager - Compensation, Performance & Organizational Development/Reorganization Division, and Congressional Liaison for HUD's Office of Human Resources. During his time in HRM Howard was responsible for evaluating and monitoring the Department’s Congressional allocated $1.1 billion budget as it pertains to full-time equivalent (FTE) spending, staffing projections and annual initiatives execution for ongoing staffing projects. He also managed the Department’s Senior Management Approval Program in which the department was under a congressional mandate to reduce its number of GS 14/15s  by 15%. In 2006, Howard left human resources to accept a position in the Office of Systems & Technology as an I.T. Project Manager focusing on information security for the Department’s automated I.T. systems & also served at the department's Information Systems Security Officer.  His responsibilities included developing & maintaining documentation required under the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) and the Department’s Systems Development Methodology to include Systems Security Plan, Risk Analysis and Contingency Plans, reporting to The Secretary, OMB, OIG, GAO and other agencies on Housing Financial systems' compliance with the Federal Financial Management Improvement Act (FFMIA), Federal Managers’ Financial Integrity Act (FMFIA), and the Joint Financial Management Improvement Program (JFMIA) and provide oversight to ensure that the Department's system security standards are correctly implemented for Housing's systems.

In 2008 Howard left his position in the federal government to launch HNC Enterprises, Incorporated (formally DRAWOH LLMEWORC Omnimedia, Inc.) to focus exclusively of the first of 3 publications of the MOST FABULOUS Magazine Publishing Group, DC's MOST FABULOUS Magazine, which he launched in 2006.  In 2009/2010 the Miami & Chicago publications were launched.  DC’s, MIAMI’s & CHICAGO’s MOST FABULOUS Magazine were daring and trend-setting publications covering the social values aspects of fashion & style, nightlife & entertainment, restaurants & dining, arts & culture and people/personalities, business, community and politics with a focus on charity, philanthropy, volunteerism and going green. The monthly online publications, which garners a total of more than 500K unique monthly visitors (DC: 250K, CHI: 150K, MIA 100K), highlighted business, people and services that exemplified social, community and environmental responsibility by exploring the concerns and passions of young professional urbanites through interviews, reporting and criticism as well as provide insight and commentary from some of the most well -known trendsetters in each city.  MOST FABULOUS Magazine Publishing Group believes that being FABULOUS is less about wealth, celebrity or social status and more about utilizing these attributes to support current and emerging social causes. Howard served as publisher & editor in chief of the publishing group from 2006 - 2013.

Also in 2008, Howard took on yet another venture with the launch of The HNC Agency (formerly LLEWMORC Media & Production Agency), which is now an international, full-service marketing, communications, and business consulting firm specializing in media, public relations, events management/production, small/startup business development, product development, artist/talent management, crisis management and advertising. LLEWMORC Agency maintains practice areas in fashion, arts & culture, nightlife & entertainment, restaurant & dining, business, politics, nonprofit/philanthropic organizations and celebrity/high profile individuals. Headquartered in Washington, DC, LLEWMORC Agency has become known for implementing creative and customized public relations programs designed to impact a client’s specific business goals and objectives.  It was in this capacity that Howard gained international notoriety through representing/serving as crisis manager for Bravo Network’s The Real Housewives of DC reality stars during the 2009 alleged White House Gate Crashing incident at Present Barrack Obama's 2009 State Dinner. Howard currently serves in Principle and Managing Director, International Communications & Marketing.

 

In 2011 Howard co-founded the NY-based Ecnaillá Groupe, LLC., a resource, and networking center that brings together and supports outstanding professionals, entrepreneurs & artist of all stripes (both seasoned pros and novices; and fledgling and experienced business owners). The organization’s mission is to help businesses (large, medium-sized and small), and organizations (non-profits, humanitarian, civic and foundations) grow and prosper. The intention is to help enrich, inspire, educate, inform and empower our members to be the best they can be in their respective fields. They offer courses, leading-edge thinkers and world-class speakers, networking and charitable events and publications, all of which seek to drive innovation, business development, wealth building and career advancement. EG’s commitment is to excellence and the delivery of nothing less than the extraordinary in all we do. Howard served as the organization’s Managing Director from since co-founding until 2013.

 

In May 2014 Howard launched his lifestyle venture HNC1978, a luxury lifestyle brand, where he serves as the president, creative director, and brand ambassador. While the initial focus of HNC1978 was marketing luxury products and events, the company has quickly expanded into fashion products, spirits, and real estate.  The company launched its HNC1978 Boutique selling its Signature T-Shirt line and high-end fashion products from designers like Channel, Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Christian Louboutin and Alexander McQueen.  The HNC1978 brand also has an accessory, shoe, handbag & ready to wear luxury clothing line currently in the works under its HNC1978 label.  One of the first spirits products launched under the HNC1978 Brand was the signature Howard Nelson Cromwell Signature Cocktail presented by HNC1978, Ciroc Vodka & Veuve Clicquot Champagne that hit national markets in July 2014.

 

In February 2015, Howard began his stint as the on-air personality/host and executive producer of Being Fabulous Rocks! Television Program airing every Sunday at 12:00 noon on The CW Network and reached 2.5 million Washington, DC metro area household each week.  The program is produced by HNC Enterprises, Inc’s production company, LLEWMORC Studios. The show went on to air for two seasons with a 3rd season offered. 

 

In 2016, Howard launched the next expansion of his HNC1978 Luxury Lifestyle Brand with HNC1978 Properties.  The mission with the launch of HNC1978 Properties is simple:  to provide guests with fully furnished, high-end, affordable vacation & short-term rentals ranging from studios to full houses to large mansions. Guests rely on the luxury vacation rental company to find the perfect place to call home during their stay in Washington, DC metro area. The goal: provide an unforgettable living experience partnered with exceptional customer service while inviting guests to "Live Like a Local".

In April 2016 Howard also founded Dîner en Noir (#DEN).  #DEN events are member-only, fully-curated, 3-part, black attire dining experiences held in secret locations in cities across the globe. #DEN’s mission is to highlight the talents of local artists and utilize the services of local small businesses to support and promote our Host City's local arts and small business communities while uniting friends and strangers alike from diverse backgrounds for a night of elegance, great food, arts, music, dancing, and communion at our unique dining events.  Part fully immersive dining event, party art & business networking opportunity and party community fundraiser, a portion of the profits from each event goes toward supporting our Dîner en Noir Host City's Community Award Recipients - two local non-profit organizations/programs in the arts & small business development arenas. Since its launch in 2016, #DEN has expanded to 16 cities throughout the U.S. & Europe.  He currently serves as Founder and President.

In June 2017, Howard launched the Conservative media & news organization The Conservative Urbanite Media & Consulting (TCU). TCU is comprised of an online community, blog with plans of a television show and podcast in the works, and consulting firm. Howard serves as the Managing Editor & Consultant

In October 2019 Howard opened The DEN Loft in Dupont Circle, Washington, DC. Part art gallery, part mixed-use co-working space, part cultural center, and part nightlife destination, The DEN Loft (TDL) is a unique and vibrant private members Club where art, business, and culture collide. The Club draws its membership from a diverse mix of local, national, and international creatives of all genres, business minds, nightlife innovators & social disrupters. TDL provides a home away from home and serves as an accelerator for diverse thinkers, makers, and doers to collaborate on art projects, business ideas, and cultural progression projects, then watch these collaborations manifest, grow, and build.  The DEN Loft is a place to inspire our member's work, build their cultural voice, and grow their community. The DEN Loft remained operational until October 2021, when Howard transitioned operations to Paris. France.

Howard currently resides between Washington, DC & Paris, France.  He actively engages in community/charity involvement, sits on the executive boards and maintains membership in several charitable, professional & arts organizations including Oasis Dance Company & Collective, The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (The Grammys), MusiCares, Strikes Against Cancer, Writers Guild of America, National Black Programming Consortium and many others.
