About Corrspndent: ALEXANDRA MORTON

 

Our on-air correspondent, Alexandra Morton, won the national title of MISS BLACK AMERICA on August 16, 2014 at Temple University’s Mitten Hall in Philadelphia, P.A.. During the pageant, Alexandra, was also awarded “Best in Swimsuit,” and tied for “Miss Positivity.”

 

Alexandra is a 26 year old Maryland native. In 2011, she completed Cornell University’s Financial Management Program and Duke University’s Non Profit Management Program. She also was one of the youngest scholars in the Executive Leadership program at American University.

 

Alexandra is an award­winning entrepreneur and philanthropist. She is the founding President of NPO Global LLC, where she works with individuals, companies, government institutions and non profit organizations to achieve their goals. She is also the founder of Futuristic Youth Corp, a youth outreach 501 (c) (3) non profit organization that serves at risk youth in the Washington DC, Metropolitan Area.

 

Alexandra’s ideas and thoughts about entrepreneurship have been published since the age of 19. She has been recognized by The Acton Foundation for Entrepreneurial Excellence and Canadian­based International Entrepreneur Organization’s Global Student Entrepreneur Awards Hero publication. She has been featured in the Washington Business Journal, Baltimore Business Journal, The Washington Post, and Newsone.com just to name a few. Alexandra has also been a featured commentator on various media outlets with a focus on topics ranging from organizational 

 

development, youth empowerment, youth literacy, youth violence prevention, social entrepreneurship and Sickle Cell awareness.
